Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a family oriented company! We need a seasoned hands-on Human Resources Generalist who will play a key role within the company and work in conjunction with executives and district managers on the strategic direction of the company's Human Resource functions: Organize and maintain employee files Open new employee accounts Update benefit eligibility, enrollment and vendor management Provide management with employee information for reviews, Prepare documentation for termination/promotions/demotions Responsible for tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource functions such as ACA, EEO, FLSA, LOA, FMLA, Anti-Harassment modules and OSHA. Track and respond to EDD claims and data requests Administration of DOL, BIT, Class-A certifications, pre-employment requirements and on-boarding Administration and management of company benefits (401K, medical, dental, life plans, vacation accruals) Review billings from insurance providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Business or related field or equivalent is required, which is typically obtained through 7-10 years of human resource management experience in a related industry. 7-10 years of human resource managerial experience required, including direct responsibility for recruitment, employee relations, policy and procedure development and administration, workers' compensation and safety program management, and senior level business involvement. Working knowledge of all California labor laws, state and federal regulations, workers' compensation procedures and regulations, and discrimination/harassment investigation and defense procedures. Working knowledge of automated payroll/HRIS systems required. Bi-lingual English / Spanish preferred. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills required; Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10-20%).
PHR/SPHR
