From the initial injury report through claim resolution and return to work, this position serves as a trusted partner to employees, managers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), medical providers, and legal counsel. In this role, you will ensure workplace injury claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. You will coordinate modified duty and return-to-work programs, monitor claim activity and costs, maintain accurate documentation, and provide expert guidance on workers' compensation policies and best practices. Job Duties Manage workers' compensation claims from initial injury intake through closure. Review incident documents, file claims, communicate with injured employees, managers, clinics, insurance carriers, and claims adjusters, and maintain accurate claim and work-status records. Investigate workplace injuries and incidents, identify root causes, review available documentation or video, and work with the Safety Manager and operations leaders to implement and track corrective and preventive actions. Maintain OSHA injury and illness records, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 documentation; coordinate annual postings and electronic reporting; and track required safety and compliance training. Coordinate return-to-work and reasonable accommodation processes by collecting documentation, communicating work restrictions, and partnering with management to evaluate available accommodations This position requires general office work with light physical duty, work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional standing and walking.
