Our Role:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with business leaders in supporting our specialty logistics workforce. This role supports the full lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, training and development, and other core HR initiatives. Working collaboratively with HR senior leadership and the HRBP team, this role helps align HR strategies with business objectives to foster a safe, productive, and positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities Your Impact:
Employee Relations:
Foster positive relationships between employees and management by serving as a trusted HR resource. Promote employee engagement, address workplace concerns, provide guidance on HR policies and practices, and support an inclusive workplace culture.
Employee Retention:
Support and implement employee retention strategies to maintain a motivated workforce, positive culture, and workplace experience.
Leadership:
Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and leadership by providing guidance, coaching, and HR expertise. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Record-keeping:
Maintain HRIS and employee records throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation, personnel files, and employment status changes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and HR documentation.
Performance Management:
Oversee the site's performance management and appraisal process to support employee development and organizational performance.
Training and Development:
Assess organizational training needs, support the development and delivery of training programs and evaluate their effectiveness. Serve as the subject matter expert for HR related training as needed.
Conflict Resolution:
Conduct impartial investigations into employee complaints and workplace disputes. Recommend fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolutions and corrective actions while maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
Additional projects:
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field Relevant work experience and/or a Human Resources certification may be considered without a degree 5-7 years of HR Manager experience in logistics and operations is preferred Previous experience managing and developing others HRCI or SHRM Certification are preferred. Prior experience working with an
HRM/HRIS
system; Peoplease and ADP Workforce Now preferred Extensive experience in employee engagement, retaining and maintaining an hourly workforce culture
Required Skills and Qualifications What We Need:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and build trusted relationships with employees, leaders, and cross functional stakeholders. Superior organizational, project management and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing priorities. Strong analytical and problem- solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and HRIS platforms. Flexibility to support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
