Toyon Research Corporation, a thriving and innovative defense technology company, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Representative to join our dynamic Goleta headquarters. The successful HR Representative will work independently, prioritize effectively, and exercise sound judgment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and host new employee onboarding Coordinate and track required compliance training for new hires and existing employees Prepare and submit various compliance related data requirements Maintain employee job data in HRIS Maintain digital employee files in compliance with recordkeeping requirements Assist with recruiting, benefits, compensation and performance management processes Monitor state and federal posting requirements and update local and satellite postings as well as employee intranet Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or Public Administration, English, Communications, or a related field At least 5 years of progressive experience in an HR role Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment law Proven ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) Familiarity with HRIS and ATS platforms Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Desired:
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification Experience with technical recruiting Prior experience working in a government-contracting environment
