The HR Specialist will oversee employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, HR policies and procedures and Payroll processing and administration. The ideal candidate is a trusted professional who can balance the needs of employees and the organization while fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day human resources operations and employee support. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs. Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and related HR processes. Address employee relations issues and resolve workplace concerns professionally and confidentially. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement. Monitor employee satisfaction and help promote a positive workplace culture. Coordinate disciplinary actions and performance improvement processes when necessary. Stay current on changes in employment legislation and HR best practices. Process biweekly/semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time. Review employee time records, hours worked, overtime, PTO, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments. Process new hires, terminations, pay changes, promotions, and deductions. Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll records. Coordinate payroll-related tax filings, wage reporting, and other required documentation. Reconcile payroll reports and identify and correct discrepancies. Work with accounting, and management as needed. Stay current with applicable federal, state, and local payroll and employment requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 3 - 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
