Job Description

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Representative provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department and serves as a primary point of contact for Team Members, applicants, and visitors. The position supports a variety of Human Resources functions, with an emphasis on Employment Center operations, recruitment and onboarding. The Human Resources Representative provides responsive and professional service, maintains confidential Team Member information, and assists with the accurate and timely administration of Human Resources programs and processes. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Serve as a primary point of contact for the Human Resources Department by greeting Team Members, applicants and visitors, answering telephone calls, responding to routine inquiries, and directing individuals to the appropriate Human Resources resource when necessary. 3. Provide general information and assistance to Team Members regarding Human Resources programs, policies, procedures, forms, and processes, escalating questions requiring interpretation or approval to the appropriate Human Resources Team Member. 4. Support recruitment and pre-employment processes, including initiating pre-employment drug testing, communicating results to appropriate personnel, and scheduling applicants for required Tribal Gaming Agency appointments. 5. Support Employment Center operations by answering applicant and recruitment-related telephone calls, responding to routine questions regarding job opportunities and the application process, and directing inquiries to the appropriate Human Resources team member when necessary. 6. Coordinate interview scheduling between applicants and hiring managers, including contacting candidates, confirming interview dates and times, communicating scheduling changes, and providing applicants with appropriate interview instructions and information. 7. Assist with applicant flow and hiring activities by monitoring interview schedules, communicating with hiring managers and recruiters regarding candidate appointments, and helping ensure applicants move through the recruitment process in a timely and organized manner. 8. Provide administrative support to the Employment Center, including preparing interview and recruitment materials, assisting applicants with routine application-process questions, maintaining organized recruitment information, and supporting hiring events and other recruitment activities as assigned. 9. Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation, including preparing materials, reviewing required paperwork for completeness, and assisting new Team Members with required forms and processes. 10. Provide administrative support for Human Resources programs and activities, including benefits, training, recruitment, Team Member communications, and labor relations. 11. Maintain adequate inventories of Human Resources forms, materials, and supplies and ensure commonly used Team Member resources are readily available. 12. Sort and distribute departmental mail and other correspondence. 13. Enter, review, and maintain information in Human Resources systems and databases as assigned, ensuring information is entered accurately and timely. 14. Protect the confidentiality and security of Team Member, applicant, medical, benefits, compensation, and other sensitive Human Resources information.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Previous experience working in an administrative, office, customer service, or similar professional environment required. Experience in a Human Resources environment is preferred. 3. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form. 4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn Human Resources information systems and other business applications. 5. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive Team Member and Company information. 6. Ability to work independently with appropriate direction and collaboratively as part of the Human Resources team with the ability to work a variety of shifts as necessary to provide departmental coverage and meet operational needs. 7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. 8. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process and maintain employment records and confidential information. 9. Ability to exercise appropriate judgment, use critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and recognize when matters should be escalated to Human Resources management. 10. Must be at least 21 years of age. 11. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and other standard office equipment. 3. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 4. Must be able to sit for the duration of shift. 5.
