Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Experience Supervisor (TES) works under the direction of the Training & Onboarding Specialist and serves as a leader in staff development, Behavioral Skills Training (BST), compliance monitoring, workforce development, employee relations support, and training operations at Essential Behavioral Support, Inc. (EBSI). This position requires active certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The TES is responsible for overseeing the daily training experience of employees from onboarding through ongoing professional development. This position supervises trainees during office-based onboarding, facilitates agency-required trainings, evaluates employee competency, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides behavioral coaching and training support within residential programs as needed. The TES also assists with agency audits and quality assurance reviews, including evaluations of client care environments, client-related documentation, residential home upkeep, employee records, training compliance, and operational practices. This position may assist leadership with employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance concerns, and workers' compensation matters while maintaining professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality. The TES supports employee performance through competency-based instruction, performance feedback, and data-driven staff development. The TES works collaboratively with Program Administrators, supervising BCBAs, consultants, and agency leadership to ensure employees are trained, supported, and equipped to provide high-quality, person-centered services. In addition, the TES serves as the primary on-site coordinator for the training office, ensuring a professional, organized, and welcoming environment while supporting EBSI's mission of developing a highly competent workforce.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND WORKPLACE SUPPORT
Assist agency leadership with employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, policy compliance, and corrective action processes. Participate in fact-finding meetings and workplace investigations as assigned. Gather, organize, and maintain relevant records, statements, training documentation, and supporting materials related to employee matters. Provide objective information and documentation to agency leadership while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Assist with employee coaching, performance improvement plans, retraining, and follow-up competency assessments. Support employees and supervisors in understanding agency expectations, policies, procedures, and professional standards. Identify recurring employee performance concerns and recommend appropriate training or workforce-development interventions. Maintain professional boundaries and avoid making independent employment decisions unless specifically authorized by agency leadership.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION SUPPORT
Assist agency leadership with workers' compensation matters and return-to-work processes. Support timely reporting and documentation of workplace injuries, illnesses, and occupational incidents. Gather incident reports, witness statements, training records, schedules, and other documentation related to workers' compensation claims. Assist with communication and coordination involving injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, and workers' compensation representatives, as authorized. Support the development, documentation, and monitoring of temporary modified-duty assignments. Assist in reviewing workplace incidents to identify training needs, environmental risks, and opportunities for injury prevention. Maintain the confidentiality of medical, personnel, and workers' compensation information. Ensure all workers' compensation support activities are completed in accordance with EBSI procedures and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
AUDITS, CLIENT UPKEEP, AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Assist with internal audits, regulatory reviews, and quality assurance inspections involving residential programs, employee records, training compliance, and client services. Conduct routine reviews of residential homes and client environments to ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and appropriate upkeep. Review client bedrooms, common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, vehicles, and other service environments for health, safety, and maintenance concerns. Verify that client belongings, clothing, hygiene supplies, adaptive equipment, and personal-care items are appropriately maintained and available. Review client records and program documentation for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Identify missing, expired, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and communicate corrective-action needs to the appropriate Program Administrator or agency leader. Assist with reviewing medication areas, emergency supplies, food storage, sanitation practices, and other operational systems within the scope of the position. Document audit findings and assist Program Administrators with developing and monitoring corrective-action plans. Conduct follow-up reviews to verify that identified concerns have been corrected within required timeframes. Assist with preparation for Community Care Licensing, Regional Center, DDS, and other regulatory inspections. Monitor client environments for evidence of person-centered care, dignity, privacy, safety, and appropriate access to personal belongings and preferred activities. Immediately report health, safety, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or regulatory concerns in accordance with mandated-reporting requirements and EBSI policies. Analyze audit findings, incident trends, and program data to identify opportunities for retraining, risk reduction, and continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with Program Administrators, consultants, Human Resources, and agency leadership to address identified compliance and operational concerns. Step into a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Lead Staff, or in another assigned support capacity when needed to maintain client health, safety, supervision, and continuity of services. Provide emergency, short-term, or scheduled staffing coverage based on client needs and EBSI's operational requirements.
ADDITIONS TO KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, and performance-management processes. General knowledge of workers' compensation reporting, documentation, modified-duty coordination, and return-to-work processes. Ability to conduct objective audits, environmental reviews, and program observations. Ability to review client and employee documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Ability to identify health, safety, maintenance, training, and operational concerns. Ability to prepare clear audit findings, corrective-action recommendations, and follow-up documentation. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel, medical, client, and workers' compensation information. Ability to remain neutral, professional, and objective when assisting with employee relations or workplace investigations. Ability to communicate sensitive concerns professionally and appropriately to employees, supervisors, Human Resources, and agency leadership.
ADDITIONS TO EXPERIENCE
Experience participating in internal audits, residential program reviews, quality assurance activities, or regulatory inspections preferred. Experience reviewing client-care environments, client documentation, employee records, or regulatory compliance preferred. Experience supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, performance improvement, or corrective-action processes preferred. Experience assisting with workplace injury documentation, modified-duty assignments, workers' compensation matters, or return-to-work coordination preferred.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
