Summary TEMP Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations by administering employee records, benefits, leave management, compliance processes, employee relations, full cycle recruitment, supporting on-boarding, and performance management initiatives. Compensation $53,757 - $61,732 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection) Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for Port Hueneme VPC, including confirming headcount and coordinating requisitions. Post job advertisements, review resumes, screen applicants, arrange and assist in interviews, and maintain applicant tracking documentation. Create offer letters, collect acceptances, and schedule preemployment screenings (background checks and drug tests). Conduct new hire orientation and prepare on-boarding packets, ensuring all legal documentation is complete, and new hires are entered into HRIS. Oversee the temp-to-permanent conversion process and assist Senior HR Analyst with information for the employee referral program. Advise HR, staffing, and hiring managers on candidate selection and hiring policies, providing solutions to meet staffing needs. Provide weekly updates on recruiting strategies, open positions, and recruitment progress. Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact to on-boarding. Ensure on-boarding and off-boarding documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant. Maintain and update HRIS records for personnel, benefits, compensation, and employment status changes while ensuring accurate, compliant documentation. Generate reports, maintain employee files, and support HR audits and compliance initiatives. Administer wellness and auto allowance programs, including eligibility verification, documentation tracking, and quarterly audits. Assist with benefit renewals and open enrollment processes. Process and track FMLA, ADA, and other leave requests; ensure required documentation, compliance, and return-to-work clearance. Support annual performance reviews and compensation adjustments related to Tier and Grade increases. Review DAF forms for accuracy, obtain approvals, and enter finalized documentation into HR Acuity. Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns. Process payroll in the absence of the Senior HR Analyst. Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, processing mail, operating office equipment, and securing confidential materials. Support HR projects, meetings, and company functions as assigned by the HR Manager. Engage in recruitment activities by organizing and participating in on-site and approved off-site job fairs. Perform periodic audit of Form I-9 Remain abreast of local recruiting trends and data in same or similar industries. Provide reports to the HR Manager as requested in a timely manner. Investigate and coordinate the resolution of employee issues and conflicts. Ensure organized documentation and filing of applicants who did not pass the enrollment process.
