Job Description

Summary/Objective Under the general direction of the Human Resource Manager, provides administrative support and serves as the first point of contact for field employees, ensuring a safe work environment and supporting workers' compensation processes, HR compliance, and employee relations. Essential Functions
- Serve as the Initial Point of Contact for injured employees.
- Performs customer service functions by answering or assisting employee requests, questions, and/or concerns.
- Assist with Claim Filing and ensure timely, accurate submissions to insurance carriers, maintaining ongoing Communication with Adjusters, healthcare providers, and injured employees.
- Support any HR complaint or claim Investigations by gathering incident details, employee statements, and field evidence.
- Prepare detailed reports with pictures and narratives to document incidents and support claim processing.
- Conduct regular Tailgate Meetings with crews on safety and human resources topics and updates.
- Perform Safety and HR Audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, legal postings, and regulations.
- Assist in developing and promoting a culture of safety among field employees.
- Support Return-to-Work Coordination, including placement into modified duties when appropriate.
- Ensure clear documentation and Record-Keeping of all incidents, meetings, and compliance efforts.
- Conduct the onboarding process, which includes collecting documentation from new employees and the data entry into the onboarding system.
- Enter and update employee data into our ERP System.
- Provides clerical and administrative support to the HR department.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Support performing payroll edits to release field timecards to payroll system.
- Prepare payroll checks for distribution Print and prepare Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) labels for strawberry operations, ensuring accurate product, lot, grower, and traceability information. Prepare and maintain accurate H-2A work logs, including employee hours worked and piece-production information, to support H-2A billing reconciliation.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience on Human Resources
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to field locations.
- Agriculture experience is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel and Word.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Must be reliable and precise - attention to detail essential.
- Capable of prioritizing workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
- Customer service and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills / research, and resolution skills.
