The Moore Law Group is seeking an on-site HR Intern to support our HR team with a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks, including project support to the Human Resources department while gaining practical experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee records, training coordination, HR communications, reporting, and process documentation. This temporary, part-time internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on learning while supporting accurate and consistent HR operations and maintaining the confidentiality of employee and firm information. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist with recruiting administration, including posting positions, organizing applicant information, scheduling interviews, preparing routine candidate communications, and maintaining recruiting records. Support new hire onboarding by preparing paperwork and checklists, organizing orientation materials, coordinating background screening steps, tracking training assignments, and following up on assigned setup items. Assist with reviewing and organizing personnel files and other authorized HR records for completeness, accuracy, and consistent filing. Track completion of required training, onboarding tasks, forms, and routine compliance documentation, following up with employees and managers as directed. Draft and organize routine HR communications and assist with employee recognition, engagement activities, newsletters, and department announcements. Assist with organizing and updating job descriptions, policies, procedures, work instructions, templates, and HR resource materials. Prepare basic spreadsheets, trackers, and de-identified reports related to recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement, and assigned HR projects. Complete defined internship projects and learning objectives, provide regular status updates, and identify questions or process improvement opportunities for review with the HR supervisor. Protect confidential employee and firm information, access only information authorized for assigned work, and promptly escalate sensitive questions or concerns to the HR supervisor. Perform all work under HR supervision. The intern will not independently handle investigations, leave or accommodation matters, payroll, benefits, discipline, termination decisions, or medical records. Maintain regular time and attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Current enrollment in or recent completion of an associate or bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. Prior Human Resources experience is not required; administrative, customer service, recruiting, or office support experience is helpful. Strong interest in Human Resources and a willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and follow established procedures. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, use sound judgment, and escalate matters appropriately. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. Ability to prioritize assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively with appropriate supervision. Availability to work primarily onsite for 20 hours per week during an anticipated 12-week internship.
