Description:
As a Field HR Generalist, the role involves providing HR support and guidance to our family of companies. The primary focus includes ensuring HR compliance, handling employee relations, facilitating training and development, and managing various HR projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; subject to change depending on the business need Support human resources programs in the Field, with a primary emphasis on employment and employee relations matters involving employees up through the middle management level; communicates company human resources policies and procedures for managers and employees as well as Trilogy PLM and/or its family of companies Help communicate and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations Conduct internal investigations in partnership with growers Provide outreach training to managers and supervisors of state and federal regulations and effective human resource practices with regard to employee issues Assists managers in writing corrective action memos and other documentation; attends or conducts corrective action sessions as warranted; performs necessary follow-up Coordinates some aspects of recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt openings; reviews applications/resumes; coordinates new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures Conducts new hire employee orientations, apprises employees of benefit options, and accurately completes requisite paperwork for new staff members Guide employees regarding human resources policies, procedures, and practices May perform non-human resources related administrative and operational duties Provides input to managers in regard to potential enhancements to current personnel practices; assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed Provides human resources-related training and may act as trainer for training development as needed and appropriate, addressing areas such as performance counseling and employee relations issues Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employment Supervises Field HR staff in partnership with HR Manager and delegates daily workloads Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish and English, able to communicate fluently in both languages. Valid CA drivers' license with the ability to drive and operate a company vehicle
PHR OR SHRM-CP/SCP
preferred Knowledge of Labor Law and Cal-OSHA regulations Human Resource experience in the Agricultural industry MS Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Two or more years of demonstrated experience in the human resources field, with emphasis on employment, employee relations, benefits, or compensation Must have strong planning and organizing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy; effective oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills Must show strong initiative, exercise sound judgment, and take appropriate action when necessary; must have strong interpersonal skills Must have PC skills to format reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphics, general word processing, etc. Must demonstrate the ability to work fairly independently and plan and manage projects Must be able to maintain time management & have good ethics Must be trustworthy, have good ethics and self-discipline
Education:
Some College and/or bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Must be able to sit for short periods of time traveling from site to site Must be able to drive company vehicle and get in/out of vehicle throughout the day Daily travel throughout different counties in the Central Valley to execute HR functions
