Human Resources Operations Specialist Job Description:
PrideStaff Financial is working with a local business who is seeking a temporary Human Resources Operations Specialist. The Human Resources Operations Specialist will manage Payroll, leave administration, benefits, and compliance obligations running smoothly and on time. The ideal Human Resources Operations Specialist has multiple years of HR experience, has solid Payroll, leave of absence, and general HR administrative experience. The Human Resources Operations Specialist position is a full time, temporary position in Woodland, CA.
Human Resources Operations Specialist Duties & Responsibilities:
Intake, Tracking, Required Notices, & Recordkeeping For FMLA, CFRA, & Other Medical/Personal Leaves of Absence Manage The Interactive Process & Documentation For Active Accommodation Requests Follow-up With Our Benefits Broker on Required Nondiscrimination Testing & Other Compliance Fillings, & Track Them to Completion Coordinate & Track Completion of Required Employee Training Including ADA Training For Management, Fire/Emergency Drill Training For All Staff, Scheduling Sessions, Sending Reminders, & Maintaining Completion Records Process Payroll in Gusto Each Pay Period, Including New Hire & Termination Changes Track & Process Meal & Rest Break Premium Payments Per California Requirements Process Off-Cycle Checks & Final/Dismissal Paychecks in Compliance With California Final-Pay Timing Rules Process Employee Reimbursements & Contractor Onboarding/Payments in Gusto Handle New Hires Benefits Enrollments, Qualifying Life Events, & Day-to-Day Employee Benefits Questions Assist With Logistics (Materials Distribution, Tracking, Answering Employee Questions) as Directed; The HR Director is
Leading Strategy & Timeline For This Human Resources Operations Specialist Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 3+ Years of Hands-on HR Operations Experience, Payroll, & Other Benefits Administration Required Working Knowledge of
FMLA/CFRA
Leave Administration & The ADA Interactive Process Experience With California Wage & Hour Requirements, Including Meal & Rest Break Compliance & Final Pay Timing Rules Experience With Gusto or Comparable HRIS/Payroll Platform Highly Desired Prior Experience Support a Benefits Open Enrollment Process Experience in a Small or Lean HR Team, Comfortable Wearing Multiple Hats Able to Work Independently & Take Ownership of Recurring, Deadline-Driven Work With Minimal Onboarding High Attention to Detail & Comfort Handling Confidential Employee Data (Health, Leave, & Pay Information)
