Our Westport, CT client is seeking a contract-to-hire Leaves Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This is a full time contract role, Monday - Friday in the office, $33-$40/hour. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in leaves administration , ideally across multiple states.

Responsibilities include:

Administer all leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD/LTD, parental, medical, personal, and state-mandated leaves), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, documentation requirements, timelines, and return-to-work processes. Partner with HR, payroll, benefits, and third-party administrators to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and pay coordination during leaves. Maintain organized and compliant leave records while identifying process improvements that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
