We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day HR operations of our distribution business in New Castle, Delaware. This role will be responsible for a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance support, and HR records management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, partnering with leadership and employees across multiple functions to support a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Key Responsibilities Administer daily HR operations and serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns
Support full-cycle recruiting for warehouse, operations, administrative, and supervisory positions
Coordinate onboarding, new hire orientation, background checks, and pre-employment documentation
Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, employee questions, and open enrollment processes
Support employee relations matters by responding to concerns, conducting initial fact-finding, and partnering with management on resolutions
Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and workplace procedures
Partner with managers on performance management, corrective action, coaching, and employee development
Track attendance, leave of absence requests, and other workforce-related documentation
Assist with payroll coordination and ensure employee data changes are submitted accurately and timely
Support workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and return-to-work processes
Participate in policy updates, handbook administration, and HR process improvement initiatives
Prepare HR reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, hiring activity, and other workforce trends
Support employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, and training initiatives
Assist with audits and maintain organized HR files and documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
3+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or broad HR support role
Experience supporting employees in a distribution, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or similar operational environment preferred
Working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations processes
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
