Job Description
Hanley Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to combating substance abuse and advocating for healthier communities in Florida, is seeking a Substance Use Prevention Educator. This vital role involves developing and delivering educational programs that raise awareness and provide actionable prevention strategies against substance misuse. The educator will closely cooperate with schools, community centers, and other local groups to deliver programs aimed at reducing substance use rates and supporting a path to recovery and wellness. Responsibilities Design and implement evidence-based substance use prevention programs. Conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations in various community settings. Collaborate with local schools, non-profit organizations, and healthcare providers to coordinate educational efforts. Develop tailored materials and resources for different audience demographics. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and adjust strategies as necessary. Engage community members and stakeholders to build support and advocacy for prevention initiatives. Required Skills Strong presentation and public speaking skills Ability to develop and execute curricula addressing substance abuse prevention Excellent organizational and project management abilities Skilled in partnership building and collaboration with diverse groups Proficient in data collection and analysis to measure program impact
