This opportunity requires joining the Armed Forces as an enlisted service member. Upon completion of Initial Entry Training, enlisted soldiers serve in a variety of operational, technical, logistical, and combat support specialties across global locations or within local Reserve units. Enlistment Terms & Service Obligations Service Track Duration Commitment Details Active Duty (Full-Time) 2 to 6 Years Full-time operational service stationed at U.S. or overseas military installations. Army Reserve (Part-Time) 6 Years One weekend per month plus two weeks of annual training, serving near your home community. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Requirement Category Standard Criteria Citizenship U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Age Range 17 to 35 years old (17 requires parental consent). Education High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education degree. Aptitude Testing Satisfactory qualifying score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Medical & Physical Must pass standard military medical examination (MEPS) and meet height/weight standards. Background & Moral Must pass standard military background screening with no major felony convictions.
