About the position… The HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist (HRGPRS) supports the day-to-day execution of core human resources & payroll functions and reports to the CFO and Head of School. This position aligns HR initiatives with organizational goals while ensuring smooth delivery of HR services at the employee level. The HRPRBP partners with leadership to drive talent management, employee engagement, and employee relations. They will act as a trusted resource for both employees and managers, addressing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts and providing guidance on disciplinary actions. They will approach employee relations matters with professionalism and impartiality, maintaining appropriate boundaries while ensuring decisions are within company policy. The HRGPRS will also be responsible for core HR and Payroll administrative functions supporting the employee lifecycle such as but not limited to recruiting, onboarding & offboarding, semi-monthly payroll processing, maintaining employee records, leave of absence management, time and attendance management, administering HR policies and programs, coordinating benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate combines customer service mindset with practical, hands-on approach while also executing operational HR and Payroll tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this dual-capacity role. The HRGPRS has a significant impact on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and is an integral part of our organization contributing to the following Human Resources and Payroll services: Compensation and benefits Talent recruitment and management Time and attendance as well as leave of absence management Onboarding and Offboarding Employee relations, engagement and retention Employee policies and compliance The above statements are intended to describe a general nature and level of work being performed.   • 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience
  • a combination of education and related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree HR and Payroll certifications preferred but not required (PHR, CPP) Demonstrated experience managing and/or overseeing leaves of absence, including FMLA, medical leaves, and state-specific leave laws Demonstrated experience processing payroll including benefits deductions, etc.
Strong computer literacy with high proficiency using MS Excel, Word and Adobe Knowledge of general HR functions and employment related laws Full cycle recruiting experience (Indeed recruiter experience preferred) Broad knowledge in all benefits and insurances such as health (including HSA), dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, FSA, FMLA, 401(k) preferred What we offer… Medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FSA, voluntary life and additional wellness plans 401-K with 100% Match up to 3% of salary and 50% of the next 2% $25,000 life insurance provided by the organization Paid time-off with 10 sick/ personal (IPEL) days, 5 vacation days, and 10 holidays
