Human Resources Operations Specialist

Job Description

Purpose:
The Human Resources Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting employee benefits, leave administration, HR systems, employee lifecycle processes, and facility administrative operations for the Distribution Center in Davenport. This role is responsible for benefits administration, leave management, timekeeping administration, HR systems support, employee lifecycle administration, and facility-related administrative activities. Working closely with the Senior Human Resources Generalist, Global HR team, and site leadership, this position serves as a key operational resource to ensure effective HR service delivery, compliance, business continuity, and a positive employee experience. The role also provides cross-functional support and backup coverage for critical HR processes, including payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary administrator for employee benefits, leave administration, PTO tracking, workers' compensation, and related employee inquiries, ensuring accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and timely support for employees and managers.
  • Maintain UKG Ready employee data, system records, user access, reporting, and employee support, ensuring data integrity, system accuracy, and effective utilization of HR systems.
  • Review and maintain timecards, attendance records, PTO balances, leave tracking, and payroll-related documentation to support accurate payroll processing and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities in partnership with the Senior Human Resources Generalist and department leadership, ensuring a smooth employee transition and positive employee experience.
  • Support recruiting activities including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, background checks, and onboarding preparation to ensure an efficient and professional hiring process.
  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, compliance records, and audit requirements in accordance with company policies, record retention standards, and applicable employment regulations.
  • Administer workers' compensation processes, OSHA documentation, injury reporting, leave tracking, and return-to-work coordination to support employee well-being, safety compliance, and business continuity.
  • Provide administrative support to site leadership, including purchasing coordination, vendor administration, invoice processing, expense documentation, and preparation of reports and presentations to support effective site operations.
  • Coordinate employee communications, recognition programs, wellness activities, and engagement initiatives in partnership with HR leadership and employee engagement teams to strengthen workplace culture and employee connection.
  • Partner with the Senior Human Resources Generalist and Global HR team to support HR programs, compliance initiatives, process improvements, cross-training activities, and operational backup coverage to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
High school education or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3-5 years of dedicated HR experience. Valid Driver's License. Proven ability to achieve performance goals/expectations. Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

$50,650.60 - $65,000.00 per year
