Job Description

The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking an Enterprise Application & Data Services Specialist . Position Summary:
The Enterprise Application and Data Services Specialist will play a key role in helping the University of Dubuque to optimize data quality and workflow processes, assist with system integrations, and improve reporting and analytical support. This role will collaborate closely with and support individuals and departments across campus to strengthen our use of technical systems and improve efficiencies related to technology, data and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and correct procedures for monitoring accuracy and quality of data Work with stakeholders to educate, assist and update data and processes Write and maintain stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and report on data Provide recommendations and technical expertise regarding the use of all University systems and the data within said systems Design, develop and generate reports to meet the needs of users across campus in a timely, efficient and accurate manner Provide data-driven insights by collecting, analyzing and reporting on trends to support strategic decision making Create forms and workflows to assist in improving processes and data flow between and within departments across campus Automate processes to allow faculty and staff to spend more time interacting with students versus performing arduous tasks and unneeded paperwork Be a partner that others across campus can rely upon to provide high-quality assistance and insight regarding needs related to systems, data and processes Understand proper integration and documentation of the use of all software tools used to manage the University of Dubuque's data Keep abreast of upgrades to all systems and how these will help deliver the best data and most efficient process improvement to end users Research and have knowledge of new technologies as well as investigate unused modules of current systems as potential ways to improve processes Document all procedures so they can be understood and supported by other team members as well as end users Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's mission
Position Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical aptitude Proficient in problem-solving project management and analytical skills Strong understanding of process improvement and workflow development Ability to manage several high-priority projects simultaneously while producing quality work in a timely and accurate manner Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop, build and strengthen relationships to create partnerships with stakeholders from all areas of the university Strong attention to detail Ability to investigate and understand processes to deliver timely, accurate and actionable solutions Strong problem solving and analytical skills Self-motivated and highly responsible Ability to work alone as well as collaborate with others
Requirements:
