Human Resources Associate
Job Description
Carroll Construction Supply is seeking an organized, detail-oriented HR Onboarding & Compliance Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position plays an important role in supporting the employee hiring and onboarding process while ensuring required employee documentation, licenses, certifications, and training records remain current. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is highly organized, can manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and understands the importance of accuracy and confidentiality within Human Resources. Key Responsibilities Coordinate pre-employment requirements for new hires, including scheduling and tracking required testing and documentation. Work closely with hiring managers to communicate the status of pre-employment requirements and coordinate approved start dates. Assist new employees throughout the onboarding process and ensure required paperwork and documentation is completed. Assign and track new-hire onboarding, safety, and other required training. Monitor completion of assigned training and follow up with employees and managers as necessary. Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and other company tracking systems. Track and maintain current employee driver's licenses, DOT medical cards, forklift certifications, and other required licenses or certifications. Communicate with employees and managers regarding upcoming expirations and obtain updated documentation. Assist with I-9 documentation and other employment eligibility requirements. Help maintain accurate records for company safety and compliance programs. Coordinate company-issued items for new hires, such as cell phones or other equipment, when applicable. Respond to employee and manager questions regarding onboarding, training, and required documentation. Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department. Assist with HR projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous Human Resources, administrative, recruiting, onboarding, or related experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow-up on items simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating with employees and managers at all levels of the organization. Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience working with an HRIS or applicant tracking system is preferred. Experience with Paycom is a plus but not required. Knowledge of DOT requirements, employee credential tracking, or safety training is a plus but not required.
