Job Description

Summary of Position:
The Human Resources Generalist is a member of the Fortune Fish International HR team, supporting the Texas Operations Division and the Central Region as needed. This role provides HR support in talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee engagement.
Description:
Coordinate recruitment activities to include posting open positions, monitoring applicants, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, extending employment offers, and conducting pre-employment testing and verifications. Oversee employees' benefit enrollments, answer benefit-related questions, and ensure accurate and effective enrollments. Prepare and maintain all employee files and documentation in the HRIS system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and retention. Work closely with the Texas division and facilitate communication among employees and management, and guide managers and employees on problem-solving and dispute resolution. Develop effective working relationships with management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices. Assist management with employee separations and employee terminations Perform other duties as required by the Human Resources Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience supporting a team of 100+ employees.
Education:
Undergraduate degree in a business area.
Work Ethic:
Strong communication skills and ability to take on special projects or additional duties.
Communications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with required conversational proficiency in spoken Spanish.
Technical:
High proficiency in using personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite, including high internet fluency. HRIS exposure highly preferred.
Work Environment:
Willingness to work in a fast-faced environment. Any combination of the above criteria will also be considered.
