Job Position:
Senior HR Generalist Location:
Carol Stream, IL In-person About the Role We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will handle day-to-day HR tasks, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR systems will empower our organization to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Responsibilities:
Lead talent acquisition efforts for the site by managing sourcing, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes to attract candidates. Oversee employee orientation and training to ensure new hires are seamlessly integrated into the organization. Enforce HR policies in compliance with employment & labor law, FMLA regulations, and HR legal standards. Manage benefits administration activities such as enrollments, and policy communication Support change management initiatives Handle employee relations issues with tact and professionalism while managing conflict resolution and fostering a positive work environment. Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Time and Labor, New hire onboarding, Payroll approvals, and benefits. Ensure regulatory compliance management across all HR functions including workers' compensation, and OSHA reporting Coordinate training & development programs aimed at enhancing workforce skills and safety. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing personnel administration tasks such as payroll processing and personnel records.
Experience :
Proven experience as an HR department professional with a strong background in human resources management and personnel administration. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and effectively collaborate across teams. Demonstrated expertise in recruiting strategies using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) Knowledge of employment law in talent management, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance management. Skilled in project management with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis preferred), HR systems (TA, Background check portals, HRIS), and data entry accuracy. Experience conducting interviews, performance evaluations, conflict management, and workplace injury procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in similar field, or associates degree with 5 to 8 year supporting a manufacturing location Experience supporting a multi-shift, hourly/production workforce Working knowledge of OSHA record keeping and workplace safety compliance Experience with workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is strongly preferred for this role, as the HR Generalist will regularly supports a workforce with significant Spanish-speaking population, including conducting employee relations conversations, translating policy documentation, and delivering benefits and compliance communications in both languages. Pay:
$78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
