Regional Office of Education #9 Attendance Improvement Specialist This individual works directly with students and families to identify and address barriers contributing to truancy, chronic absenteeism, and school disengagement. The Attendance Specialist serves as a case manager and advocate, collaborating with students, families, schools, and community agencies to improve attendance, strengthen school engagement, and help students remain successfully connected to their education. The Attendance Specialist also collaborates with school attendance teams on school based attendance interventions, systems, and supports, as needed.
