Human Resources Specialist
HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST
Downers Grove, IL | Full-Time | $60,000-65,000POSITION SUMMARY :
The Human Resources Specialist supports daily HR operations with a strong focus on compliance, employee documentation, assistance with onboarding, personnel processes. The position serves as a resource to employees and management and ensures HR practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Security industry experience is preferred.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate employee personnel records, HR documentation, and confidential information. Assists with onboarding and offboarding, including required forms, documentation, training, and certifications. Respond to employee and management HR questions and support employee relations matters. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Conduct personnel file and HR process audits; identify and address compliance gaps. Track employee licenses, certifications, required training, and renewals. Support employment-related audits, inspections, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and reporting. Stay current on employment law and regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to management.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of HR experience with demonstrated responsibility for HR compliance. Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Experience with personnel file audits and compliance documentation. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
WINTEAMEXPERIENCE
Security industry or other highly regulated workforce experience. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other HR certification. Experience with PERC, licensing, certification, or regulatory compliance.HRIS/ATS
