Job Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to handle a variety of personnel related administrative duties. Your role is to act as the liaison between the HR team and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries. You will also support our daily HR activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents. Our ideal candidate has a strong interest in the HR field. Familiarity with our industry (manufacturing) and knowledge of governmental regulations is also an advantage. For this role, you should be able to work autonomously and assist in more complex HR duties, like reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews and answering inquiries from employees. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist with the administration of human resource policies and procedures Maintain employee files, workers' compensation claims and accident reports, employee benefits plan paperwork and run labor reports Ensure all job descriptions are up to date and verified by employees annually Coordinate approval of new employee procedures, Employee Handbook updates and execution, and distribution of changes Track completion of performance reviews at least twice a year and track progress through Paychex HRIS software Maintain absentee records for employees and contract staffing personnel to include recording hours and notifying management of time away from work Assist in the investigations and conflict resolution management and recommend appropriate resolution of employee relations issues Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs Promote and adhere to a culture of compliance Contribute to Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and provide support with policies, procedures, and reporting's compliance Maintain records of benefits plan participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, training and employee statistics for government reporting Satisfactory completion of all assigned federal, state and company training Support safety committee to promote the safety and welfare of all employees and contract employment agency personnel Collaborate with Recruiting, interview, test, and selection of candidates to fill vacant positions Maintain positive relationship with all outsourced contract staffing agencies Assist HR Director to Fill all open employee and contract labor needs in a timely manner Ensure all new hires and contract personnel complete the onboarding procedure and required new hire processing within their first week of work Maintain, administer, and track all training programs required by the company or mandated by the government Serve as backup for HR Director to Administer hourly and salary payroll, commissions and bonuses through Paychex and ensure all earnings, deductions and time off is accurate and other tasks Oversee benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, paid time off, sick leave, leave of absence, Cobra, unemployment claims. 401K enrollment and employee assistance Assists with ISO certification requirements annually Contribute with the relationship with outsourced technology services vendor Conduct employee satisfaction surveys at least twice a year Maintains bulletin boards of required employee postings and general information Facilitate employee communications through companywide email announcements, small group sessions and periodic one-on-one meetings
