Manteno, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview:
The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to hire a Human Resources Associate for the Manteno Veterans’ Home. This position performs paraprofessional and administrative duties in support of Human Resources operations. Responsibilities include processing personnel documentation, supporting employee onboarding and hiring activities, assisting with leave, attendance, and payroll functions, maintaining confidential personnel records, coordinating office operations, and administering employee badging and systems-access requests. This position also provides backup support for workers’ compensation, employee evaluations, healthcare registry updates, reporting, and other HR administrative functions. Essential Functions:
Under general direction, performs a variety of paraprofessional and administrative duties in support of the Human Resources Office. Assists with employee leave, attendance, and payroll-related functions. Maintains personnel records, evaluations, and human resources files. Coordinates office operations, supplies, and administrative support activities for Human Resources. Performs badging, systems access, and technology coordination functions. Serves as backup support for additional Human Resources and administrative functions. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications:
