Reyes Group - Illinois Position Summary Reyes Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources & Payroll Administrative Assistant to support daily HR and payroll operations. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll processing, supporting employee onboarding and administrative functions, and providing exceptional internal customer service. The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, and able to maintain confidentiality while supporting employees and management. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Support
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employment documentation and new hire packets.
- Coordinate employee orientations and ensure required paperwork is completed and filed.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
- Track employee training, certifications, licenses, and compliance requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and recordkeeping requirements. Payroll Administration
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records and update employee information in payroll systems.
- Process employee payroll changes, including status changes, deductions, and wage updates.
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain supporting documentation.
- Coordinate payroll documentation with the Accounting department. Administrative Support
- Prepare reports, correspondence, forms, and other HR-related documents.
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the Human Resources department. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of experience in human resources, payroll, or administrative support.
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience with ComputerEase, Vista, and Paylocity is a plus
Salary:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, starting at $58,000 annually. Reyes Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
