Description Summary Morton College is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a project-based Human Resources Internship. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in HR through focused work on real-world projects. Interns will contribute to initiatives that improve internal processes, support employee development, and enhance organizational effectiveness within a higher education setting. This role is open to both students and non-students. Duties & Responsibilities Work on HR-focused projects such as: Onboarding and orientation improvements Employee handbook and policy updates Staff training and development programs HR process documentation and workflows Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support project goals. Create project reports, timelines, and presentations for HR leadership. Collaborate with college departments to gather insights and feedback. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR-related matters. Qualifications Interest in Human Resources, organizational development, or public sector work. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to take initiative and manage project tasks independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Previous exposure to HR or administrative environments is helpful but not required.
