This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to contribute across employee relations, policy guidance, compliance, and people operations while partnering with a broader HR team. The person in this role will help foster positive workplace experiences, support managers with sensitive personnel matters, and ensure HR records and practices remain accurate and compliant.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors, offering practical guidance on workplace questions, policies, and people-related concerns. Support early resolution of employee and manager issues by leading balanced, constructive discussions that help address conflict before it escalates. Assist leaders with performance management documentation, including improvement plans and corrective action records, with a focus on clarity and consistency. Advise managers on handling team challenges such as low engagement, interpersonal concerns, and performance matters during periods of change. Provide guidance throughout hiring and separation activities while applying knowledge of multi-state employment practices and requirements. Monitor day-to-day HR activities for alignment with employment laws, internal policies, and regulatory expectations, escalating to HR leadership or legal partners when appropriate. Maintain employee files, HR data, and retention documentation in electronic and paper formats to support accurate reporting and recordkeeping. Partner with managers and employees to strengthen working relationships, improve morale, and support productivity and retention across assigned business areas. At least 3 years of progressive human resources experience, ideally in a broad HR Generalist capacity. Strong knowledge of core HR practices, including employee confidentiality, policy interpretation, and compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations. Working understanding of labor and employment law with the ability to apply that knowledge to everyday employee matters. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise HR systems, including experience handling reporting and documentation tasks. Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and provide dependable support with limited supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
