Triton College is an Equal Opportunity Employer Posting Details Posting Summary Posting Number S00597P Position Title Human Resources Specialist Position Type Non-Bargained Department Human Resources Essential Function Provides support to all functional areas within Human Resources Department with a primary responsibility of administering employee leave benefits.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred.
Experience:
Six months of previous work experience in an office setting.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of state and federal employment laws. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work both independently and in a team environment, accurate with an attention to detail. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the administration of all employee leave benefits. 2. Administers benefits of the adjunct faculty collective bargaining agreement. 3. Process airline reservations for employees traveling on College business; completes billing for employee air travel. 4. Responsible for the monitoring of earning limits of employees that are SURS annuitants to ensure compliance with state law. 5. Assists in the recruitment of personnel by posting jobs in the applicant tracking system, placement of advertising requests, serving as ex-officio member on search committees, and attending job fairs on/off campus. 6. Assists in the drafting, development, and maintenance of employee job descriptions. 7. Develops and maintains the employee directory. 8. Update and maintain the Human Resources webpage and portal. 9. Assists in the drafting of the monthly Human Resources Report. 10. Provides support to all functions of the department including: recruitment, benefits, and compliance. 11. Assists with special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Human Resources 12. Other duties as assigned Posting Date 04/21/2026 Closing Date Special Instructions to Applicants 1.
