Gardner Abrasives has been a global leader in high-precision abrasive grinding wheels since 1905 and is part of Fives Landis Corp the High Precision Machines Division of Fives specializing in the design and supply of various types of machines for numerous markets such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Rail, Shipbuilding, Energy, Space, etc. The division has approximately 1,800 employees worldwide working in about 20 locations in Asia, Europe, and North America. Salary Range:
58K

Your role will be to:
Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual process improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Manages timekeeping and payroll aspects. Conducts new employee orientation and integration, including pre-employment tests and background checks. Maintains employee personnel files and HR Information System database in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Performs employee benefits administration to include open enrollment, benefits communication to employees, carrier contacts, approving invoices for payment, change reporting, COBRA etc. Coordinates with supervisors and administers performance evaluation program, workers compensation insurance program, organizational training program, service awards program, safety glass program, OSHA recordkeeping system. Performs governmental regulation required reporting (i.e. EEO, etc.). Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. At Gardner Abrasives and under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will join the HR team. If this is you, come join us, too! We are seeking a candidate who has an associate degree or bachelor's degree in business related field preferred, a minimum of 3-5 years of human resources practice experience is a must. Required broad knowledge in principles of human resources. Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
