We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support our growing operations through payroll administration, onboarding, compliance management, and employee support across multiple regions. Position Summary The Human Resources Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily HR operations with a focus on regional payroll processing, onboarding and pre-employment activities, HR compliance, DOT and licensing administration, and benefits support. This position works closely with recruiting, payroll, operations leadership, and employees to ensure a smooth and compliant employee experience. Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To Process regional payroll accurately and on schedule Coordinate onboarding and pre-employment processing for new hires Manage background checks, drug screens, onboarding paperwork, and employee records Maintain DOT compliance files, licensing records, and other regulatory documentation Assist with benefits administration and employee questions regarding coverage and enrollment Support compliance audits and reporting requirements Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR records and employee information Partner with branch leadership regarding payroll, onboarding, compliance, and HR support needs Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements Ensure company policies, procedures, and workplace standards are consistently followed What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook Experience working with payroll, onboarding, HRIS, or compliance systems preferred Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered Minimum 2-4 years of payroll, onboarding, compliance, and/or benefits administration experience Prior experience in a transportation, logistics, or DOT-regulated industry strongly preferred What We Offer Paid Vacation after 6 months Seven Paid Holidays per year Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance 401(k) Matching Program Weekly Pay Career Growth Opportunities Stable and Growing Company Culture Requirements Ability to work in an office environment and sit or stand for extended periods Ability to handle confidential information professionally and responsibly Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen Five Star Breaktime Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
