Who We Are On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the 'company'). The Company's operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees.) The role As HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the development and execution of human resource initiatives that foster a culture of performance, accountability, and growth. You will have a strong foundation in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with country labour laws. You will serve as a point of contact for employees and management, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters. You will also work closely with local and divisional management to ensure the alignment of HR strategies with business goals while promoting employee engagement, retention and succession planning As an HR Generalist at IPL you will :
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers by advising on workplace concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting positive employee engagement.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, conduct interviews, manage pre-employment screenings, and facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires for non-salaried roles.
  • Advise on and ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Support managers in the performance appraisal process, including coaching and providing guidance on employee development and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices
  • Manage employee records, HR documentation, and data integrity in HR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with operations to support workplace safety initiatives, return-to-work programs
  • Prepare and analyse HR KPIs and other key HR metrics or reports as required to support decision-making.
  • Support divisional HR projects as required
  • Organise and support local employee well-being and community initiatives aligned to company values What you will bring to the role:
  • Diploma (HND) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field will be advantageous
  • Certification in HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHR) is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar HR function
  • Proven experience in: Recruitment & On-Boarding Employee relations and conflict resolution Performance management processes Benefits and compensation administration HR policy development and implementation
  • Experience supporting compliance with labor laws and regulations
