Job Description

We are looking for an adaptable Human Resources Generalist to join a growing organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can step into a fast-moving environment, support employees and managers across core HR functions, and bring consistency to day-to-day people operations. The role offers broad exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee support, benefits administration, and HR systems while helping the team navigate organizational change with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily HR activities across the employee lifecycle, ensuring policies, documentation, and internal practices are applied consistently.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts from job posting through candidate communication, interview scheduling, and onboarding support.
  • Lead onboarding activities for new team members, including paperwork completion, orientation preparation, and a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Respond to employee relations matters with discretion, sound judgment, and timely follow-up to support a positive workplace experience.
  • Administer benefits-related processes by assisting employees with enrollment, updates, and general questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and support reporting, data entry, and routine audits for compliance purposes.
  • Partner with leadership and operational teams to address HR priorities in a changing business environment.
  • Assist with updates to HR procedures and support implementation of process changes tied to evolving management structures.
