This position will help lead and support the routine functions of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, personnel administration, benefits coordination, employee records, policy communication, performance appraisal support, and enforcement of company policies and practices. The Human Resource Generalist will work closely with management and employees to support staffing needs, maintain accurate employee records, assist with benefits administration, and help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and best practices. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Collaborate with executive management on organizational staffing goals, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement organizational policies, processes, and training in support of DEL Corporation personnel. Oversee the administration of human resources programs to ensure equitable treatment of all DEL Corporation personnel. Work with departmental management to identify staffing needs and position requirements. Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruiting, interviewing, and assisting with the hiring of qualified job applicants. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for open positions. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits and research competitive base and incentive pay programs to help attract and retain employees. Develop best practices within documented policies and procedures. Counsel DEL Corporation personnel regarding behavior that is not in accordance with company standards. Securely manage relevant employee data. Ensure employee files are up to date and contain all required information. Organize and schedule meetings, interviews, onboarding activities, and HR-related training. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including training sessions and onboarding documentation. Maintain detailed personnel records and update relevant employee data, including sick leave records. Present new or updated HR policies to staff members. Create monthly and annual HR reports, including metrics such as turnover rates. Oversee and facilitate staff performance reviews. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices. Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for DEL Corporation personnel. Recruit, interview, hire, and assist with training new staff within the organization. Manage discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policies. Provide support and guidance to DEL Corporation management and staff when complex, specialized, or sensitive questions and issues arise. Assist with sensitive employment matters, including reasonable accommodations, investigations, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and allegations of wrongdoing. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Benefits Coordination Administer employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits. Conduct benefits orientations as part of the onboarding process. Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefit changes are reported for payroll deductions. Assist employees with health, dental, life, and other related benefit claims. Serve as the COBRA administrator. Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements. Coordinate workers' compensation claims with the third-party administrator and follow up on claims. Assist the Chief Financial Officer in obtaining statistics and information during the renewal process for health, life, and retirement plans that benefit the company. Prepare and coordinate meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Prepare and maintain biweekly employee reports, new-hire reports, and absentee reports. Workplace Safety & Training Create, update, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures. Inspect the workplace regularly to identify risks and correct hazards. Investigate workplace accidents or injuries and file required reports. Coordinate workers' compensation claims with the third-party administrator and follow up on claims. Build and lead safety training programs, including CPR and OSHA guidelines. Track safety records and training renewals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Ability to work with employees and management at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, benefits administration, safety training coordination, and personnel file management preferred.
