Full-Time Starting Pay:
$16+ per hour, depending on education and experience
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and numbers-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our case management agency. This position plays an important role in supporting the agency's daily Human Resources, payroll, employee benefits, Accounts Payable, and general office functions. The ideal candidate must be very organized, good with numbers, accurate, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities . This position requires someone who pays close attention to detail, stays on top of deadlines, communicates professionally, and maintains strict confidentiality when handling employee and company information. Job Responsibilities Assist with employee onboarding and new-hire paperwork Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files and employee records Assist with payroll preparation and processing Review payroll-related information for accuracy Manage employee group insurance and benefits-related paperwork Work directly with insurance brokers regarding employee health, dental, vision, life, and other group insurance benefits Serve as a point of contact between employees and insurance brokers regarding benefit enrollment, changes, eligibility, and coverage questions Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general questions Maintain records related to employee leave, attendance, and other HR matters Process employment paperwork, status changes, and employee separations Ensure required employment documents are completed accurately and maintained appropriately Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable employment requirements Ability to assist HR Manager with Accounts Payable duties as needed Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions as needed File invoices, statements, and payment records Assist with answering incoming phone calls and directing calls as needed Communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, insurance representatives, vendors, and other outside organizations Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, payroll, financial, and company information Perform general Human Resources and office duties and provide support to the HR Manager and administration as needed Complete additional Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and office-related duties as assigned Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree Previous experience in Human Resources, payroll, employee benefits, group insurance, Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or a related administrative field is preferred Must be highly organized and able to maintain accurate and detailed records Must be good with numbers and comfortable working with payroll, invoices, payments, calculations, and other numerical information Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required Strong computer skills required Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company software Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with employees, vendors, insurance brokers, and other outside parties Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $16+ per hour , depending on education and experience Annual performance evaluation with eligibility for an annual pay raise Paid holidays off Paid time off (PTO) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Simple IRA Simple IRA matching Retirement plan Mileage reimbursement
