Job Description
Feast & Fettle is seeking a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to join our People Team. This is an onsite role based in Elkridge, MD with a Thursday - Monday work week. The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist owns full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for Feast & Fettle's hourly and operations leadership roles across all worksites. As a key member of the People Team, this role is accountable for the systems, coordination, communication, and follow-through that allow teams to staff efficiently and welcome new hires with care. What you'll do Recruiting Operations Own end-to-end recruiting for all hourly and operations leadership roles, using platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and Rippling. Drive recruiting outcomes against clear time-to-fill goals: Hourly roles: under 10 days; Salaried operations roles: under 21 days Maintain accurate, up-to-date visibility into staffing needs and open roles, and communicate status routinely with hiring managers and operations leaders. Track and report recruiting metrics (time to fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance) to support weekly recruiting updates Coordinate interviews quickly and clearly, ensuring candidates and hiring managers know what to expect at every step. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified, values-aligned candidates. Represent Feast & Fettle at hiring events and recruiting initiatives with confidence, hospitality, and professionalism. Onboarding & Orientation Ownership Manage all onboarding logistics and compliance, including but not limited to; I-9 verification and background checks, Rippling profile completion and schedule set up, Badge and uniform facilitation and distribution, and meal plan sign ups. Ensure every new hire is fully prepared for day one, with no gaps in access, tools, documentation, expectations or communication. Plan and lead organized, engaging new hire orientations that set clear expectations and reflect F&F's culture. Lead the 30-day New Hire Check-In process as a tool for engagement, retention, and early success. Projects & Continuous Improvement Support People Team initiatives related to recruiting, onboarding, and the employee experience. Create and maintain resources, templates, and tracking tools that streamline recruiting workflows and support analysis of hiring data Champion process improvements that increase clarity, efficiency, and consistency for candidates, new hires, and hiring managers. Complete projects independently, following work through from start to finish. What we're looking for: 2+ years of high-volume recruiting experience, ideally in hospitality, food service, retail, or a similarly fast-paced hourly environment Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required) Ownership mindset—you follow work through, not just pass it along Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail Clear, warm, and confident communicator with candidates and leaders Comfort managing multiple workflows in a fast-paced, operational environment Familiarity with background check processes and Fair Chance or second-chance hiring practices strongly preferred Experience with an HRIS or ATS (Rippling experience a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable representing the company to a wide range of candidates Tech-comfortable and quick to learn new systems and tools Strong collaboration skills and eagerness to build and maintain partnerships with people across the operations This role is successful when open positions move quickly and transparently from posting to offer, hiring managers feel informed and supported, and new hires experience onboarding that is organized, engaging, and reflective of our culture.
