Job Description
Human Resources Generalist LuxWall is seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Human Resources Generalist to directly support the Human Resources function in a high-growth manufacturing environment. The position reports directly to the factory Human Resources Manager. The HR Generalist will support and oversee daily HR operations across recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, attendance, timekeeping, benefits, compliance, training, performance management and employee engagement. This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers while helping ensure HR practices are consistently applied and aligned with LuxWall's culture, policies and organizational goals. The successful candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working independently, able to manage confidential and sensitive information, and willing to operate in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. This position requires a strong presence on the plant floor and the ability to build positive working relationships with employees across all shifts. Key Responsibilities Oversee recruitment processes, including posting job positions, screening candidates and coordinating interviews. Assist with recruiting events, job fairs and community outreach initiatives. Lead onboarding and offboarding efforts to ensure a smooth employee experience. Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS and ensure data confidentiality. Responsible for timekeeping and corrections Support payroll and benefits administration, including open enrollment and vendor coordination. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and HR-related inquiries. Monitor compliance with employment laws and internal policies, updating handbooks as needed. Partner with Operations, Safety, Quality and Training to ensure new employees receive required training. Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including documentation, system access, benefits and final employment requirements. Support annual open enrollment activities. Coordinate employee engagement and recognition initiatives. Assist with performance management processes, including reviews and improvement plans. Prepare and deliver HR reports and analytics to the HR Manager and CHRO. Track and report HR metrics including headcount, turnover, attendance, recruiting, overtime and other workforce metrics. Stay updated with labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and inform HR practices. Maintain knowledge of Michigan employment requirements and communicate relevant changes to the HR Manager. Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook. Support HR audits and compliance initiatives. Maintain required personnel records and documentation. Assist with applicable leave administration, including
