Full-Time, On-site About Us We are a custom plastic injection molding manufacturer. We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Generalist / HR Manager to oversee our complete HR function, support daily plant operations, ensure safety compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture. Job Summary As our sole HR professional, you will manage the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment, onboarding, and training to OSHA compliance, timekeeping, and benefits administration. This role reports directly to the Administrative Director and serves as a vital bridge between management and plant staff.
Key Responsibilities Workplace Safety & OSHA Compliance:
Maintain compliance with OSHA and state workplace safety standards. Investigate accidents, file injury reports for insurance carriers, and champion plant-wide safety practices.
Employee Training & Development:
Coordinate and conduct employee training, including orientation, safety protocol compliance, and skill development programs.
Recruiting & Onboarding:
Collaborate with department supervisors on staffing needs, post job openings, interview candidates, conduct background checks, and lead onboarding.
Staffing Agency Management:
Partner with temporary staffing agencies (such as S&K Staffing) to manage temporary-to-permanent workforce pipelines.
Payroll & Timekeeping:
Process employee time records using ADP Timekeeping software to ensure accurate payroll preparation.
Employee Records & Administration:
Maintain confidential employee files, attendance tracking, tax forms, performance evaluations, separation documentation, and exit interviews.
Employee Relations & Morale:
Handle employee inquiries and complaints, resolve workplace issues, and organize employee appreciation events and holiday activities.
Shop-Floor Supplies:
Manage inventory and distribution of essential plant operator supplies, including safety glasses, utility knives, blades, and gloves.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Associate degree (A.A.) in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience:
1-2+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Systems:
Hands-on experience with ADP Timekeeping or similar HRIS/payroll platforms preferred.
Safety:
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and workplace injury handling preferred.
Core Competencies:
Excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, problem-solving skills, and discretion handling confidential personnel data.
