The Role:

Our site in Bloomington, MN is seeking a HR Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full time, 6 months in duration beginning in January 2027. The HR Co-op will partner closely with the Bloomington HR Business Partner to support workforce planning, talent development, and HR operational excellence initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across HR analytics, learning and development, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness while contributing to projects that directly impact business performance and employee experience. The successful candidate will gain exposure to core HR functions and collaborate with HR Business Partners, leaders, and employees to develop data-driven insights, improve HR processes, and support workforce readiness efforts.

What You'll Do:

Conduct site-wide training needs assessment by partnering with leaders and employees to identify skill gaps, development opportunities, and workforce capability needs. Analyze historical learning and training data to uncover trends and recommend learning priorities aligned with business objectives. Prepare and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to HR and business leaders. Create, update, and standardize HR playbooks, process documentation, and knowledge resources to improve consistency and operational efficiency. Develop self-service guides and job aids that enable leaders to navigate common HR processes and programs independently. Document key HR processes, workflows, and best practices to support scalability, compliance, and knowledge transfer. Design and build a comprehensive Workforce Insights Report for the Bloomington site that provides leadership visibility into key workforce trends and risks. Analyze and report on workforce metrics including turnover, absenteeism, hiring effectiveness, internal mobility, employee engagement indicators, retirement risk, and succession pipeline readiness. Transform workforce data into meaningful insights, visualizations, and recommendations that support business and talent decisions. Partner with HR Business Partners and site leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support additional HR projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

What We Seek:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize, interpret, and present data-driven insights. Interest in workforce analytics, talent development, human resources, and organizational effectiveness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus Ability to create clear and effective process documentation, training materials, and business presentations. Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization. Desired Major(s) &

Graduation Year:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Rising junior, senior, or graduate student with strong academic performance. Demonstrated interest in Human Resources, workforce analytics, organizational development, or business operations.

Eligibility:

Must be a currently enrolled student Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June. Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Compensation:

$20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role Generous 401(K) plan with an impressive employer match
