Job Description
Job Summary The Human Resource Generalist provides comprehensive HR support to assigned departments or entities, assisting with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, policy implementation, compliance, and special projects. This role ensures HR functions are aligned with organizational goals and facilitates a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with employees and leadership. Essential Functions Conducts interviews and facilitates post-offer activities, including completing new hire checklists, validating initial training for successful onboarding, and leading new hire orientation. Serves as a resource for employee questions regarding benefits, leave of absence, job postings, paid time off, and policies. Provides employee relations support and counseling, addressing concerns and assisting with conflict resolution in alignment with company policies. Updates and maintains employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data entry for personnel transactions such as promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Conducts exit interviews, prepares employee separation documentation, and ensures deactivation of access through security processes. Utilizes data points such as turnover, retention, and employee engagement metrics to assist in developing departmental goals and initiatives. Partners with department leaders to provide guidance on pay, compensation practices, and maintaining internal equity. Assists in interpreting and communicating policies from the employee handbook, ensuring consistent application across departments. Supports employee rewards and recognition programs for corporate and hospital locations, fostering a culture of appreciation and engagement. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, HR Management, or related field required Master's Degree in Human Resources, HR Management, or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with employees and leadership. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Analytical skills to utilize data for decision-making and performance improvement initiatives. Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Licenses and Certifications PHR or SHRM-CP preferred SPHR or
