This role leads recruitment strategy, candidate pipelines, hiring processes, coordinates performance management tools and evaluation timelines, supports professional and leadership development, and advances succession and internal talent planning. Through staff engagement efforts, stay and exit interviews, and talent data and dashboards, this person identifies opportunities to improve the employee experience and build a strong, sustainable team. Essential Responsibilities Recruitment and Staffing Develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract talented, mission-aligned candidates to Momentum Academy. Build and maintain candidate pipelines and manage a timely, consistent hiring process in partnership with hiring managers. Partner with school and regional leaders to develop staffing projections, anticipate vacancies, and prioritize hiring needs. Collaborate with leaders to organize and participate in recruitment events such as job fairs. Provide oversight for substitute placements and ensure district-wide coverage, with support from the HR Operations Manager. Employee Relations and Development Support in the coordination of a welcoming new-hire experience, including orientation and onboarding that prepare staff for success. Coordinate performance management processes by tracking timelines, collecting evaluations, and maintaining records. Maintain evaluation timelines and tools, ensuring staff and managers understand expectations and complete each stage of the process. Lead staff engagement and retention efforts that strengthen belonging, recognize contributions, and respond to employee feedback. Coordinate professional development opportunities aligned with staff needs and organizational priorities. Support the Staff Events Committee in planning and coordinating meaningful events that celebrate staff, strengthen relationships, and build community. Lead team-building initiatives that promote collaboration, connection, and a sense of belonging across schools and departments. Gather staff feedback and partner with leaders to improve staff culture, engagement, and the overall employee experience. Conduct stay and exit interviews, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve the staff experience. Lead 30-, 60-, and 90-day new-hire check-ins to assess onboarding, identify support needs, and coordinate follow-up with managers. Strategic Collaboration, Talent Data and Project Management Maintain talent data and dashboards to inform recruitment, staffing, development, and retention decisions. Partner with leaders on succession planning and internal talent development to prepare staff for future opportunities. Work with district leadership to develop Talent strategies aligned with organizational goals and a positive work culture. Regularly prepare and present HR/Talent metrics for staff and leadership teams. Provide occasional support for broader HR functions in partnership with the HR Operations Manager and perform other duties as assigned to meet team and organizational needs. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, organizational development, business, marketing/communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least three years of experience in recruitment, talent management, project management, employee engagement, or related school related work. Experience in a K-12 school, charter school network, or mission-driven nonprofit (preferred). Experience managing recruitment and hiring processes in partnership with hiring managers and/or supporting employee onboarding, performance management, or professional development. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to support staff and leaders through feedback and sensitive conversations. Compensation The annualized salary for this position begins at $61,239 and increases based on years of experience, certification(s), and highest level of education. Schedule & Work Environment This role is a full time, 12 month exempt position. This role is on the Regional Operations Team, collaborates closely with the HR Operations Manager and reports to the Managing Director of Strategy and Operations.
