Job Description

Human Resources Generalist Gregory Construction Gregory Construction is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and play a key role in supporting employees and leaders across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to be hands-on in multiple areas of HR, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance , while contributing to a strong, people-focused culture. What You'll Do Support payroll administration, including processing changes, reviewing payroll for accuracy, and serving as backup when needed Maintain and manage employee data within HR systems (BambooHR, Foundation, etc.) Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, open enrollment, and COBRA Manage and track leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ensuring compliance with applicable laws Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including I-9 processing and new hire reporting Serve as a point of contact for employment verifications and employee inquiries Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in accordance with company policies Track manpower and support workforce planning efforts Assist with employee evaluations and performance tracking Provide responsive, professional HR support to employees at all levels Contribute to HR initiatives, process improvements, and special projects What We're Looking For Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees and leadership High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Someone who takes ownership and follows through Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Finance, or related field required (Bachelor's preferred) 3+ years of progressive HR experience (generalist experience strongly preferred) Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration, and leave management Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Experience with HR systems such as BambooHR and Foundation preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Why Join Gregory Construction?
