Job Description

Job Overview :
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Human Resources Specialist with a background in recruiting and employee relations to join our Starkville, MS team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with the unique needs of our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Support:
Collaborate with production managers to understand workforce needs and implement effective staffing solutions. Oversee employee relations in the manufacturing setting, addressing issues related to safety, production efficiency, and employee morale. Administer the attendance policy. Coach and counsel employees based on company policies and procedures.
Clerical and Administrative Functions:
Manage clerical and administrative HR tasks, including documentation, record-keeping, and data entry. Provide support in coordinating administrative processes related to employee on-boarding, off-boarding, and personnel files.
Accounting and Payroll Collaboration:
Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. Collaborate on financial reporting related to human resources expenses and budgeting.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
Lead the recruitment process for manufacturing roles, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled candidates. Implement retention strategies specific to the manufacturing industry to reduce turnover.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety policies and procedures in the manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to both HR and manufacturing practices.
Employee Development:
Identify training needs specific to manufacturing roles and coordinate the development of training programs. Support career development initiatives to enhance the skills of employees in the manufacturing sector. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus. Proven experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with clerical and administrative HR functions. Understanding of basic payroll processes. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in a manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
