A Human Resources Specialist works for a human resources department to implement the provisions of a labor contract, including employee wages and benefits and other practices that are collectively bargained; may also handle an internal grievance process established under a labor contract.
The Human Resources Assistant (Temp) will primarily be responsible for assisting the Human Resources department through many administrative related tasks within Company.
Responsibilities:
Additional point person and liaison with Client's outsources managed staffing vendor to post jobs, schedule interviews, formulate employment offers, administer new hire paperwork, pre-employment screening processes and other related pre-hire and day 1 onboarding. Assist with new employee conversion onboarding process submission, Employee portal activation and login (OKTA), HRIS site tour and copies of employee identification, I-9/E-Verify processes, etc. Facilitate New Hire Orientation as needed. Communicate with candidates through each step of the hiring process. Process daily mail for service desk items or payroll deduction, and reimbursements via required forms and processes. Update company posters and other signage Manage internal HR database and start communications with internal management. Manage New hire Survey data and attendance policy spreadsheet. Employee file creation and/or file maintenance Work with employees through employee portal (OKTA) password reset issues. Help with employee engagement activities. Answer Benefit or Policy Related Questions. Other tasks and HR related projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or some college or experience equivalence 1-3 years experience working in Human Resources, Customer Service or data entry. Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Experience working in Microsoft Office Ability to learn new software and computer-based systems quickly.
