Job Description

About the RoleAs Head of Human Resources, you will serve as a strategic HR leader responsible for aligning people priorities with Avets business objectives, organizational needs, and long-term direction.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day functional leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on people, organizational matters and contribute HR insight to senior leadership.

Reporting RelationshipThis position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and has 2 direct reports/1 indirect report.

What Youll DoDevelop, execute, and continuously improve HR strategies, programs, and practices that support Avets business objectives, workforce needs, compliance obligations, and operational execution.

Partner with executive and functional leaders on talent, organizational structure, culture, compliance, and employee matters.

Provide strategic HR insight, analysis, and support to senior leadership, including input for Board-level discussions as appropriate.

Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR compliance programs to ensure effective, compliant, and business-aligned execution.

Provide functional leadership to the HR team, coaching and development, and ensure consistent HR service delivery across the organization. What Youll BringExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and HR compliance practices.

Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required; MBA or masters degree in human resources or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, including at least five years in a senior HR leadership role; manufacturing and pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Key Competencies:
Strategic HR leadership with the ability to translate business priorities into practical workforce, talent, and organizational plans.

Sound judgment and professional presence to advise management on sensitive people, compliance, and organizational matters.

Hands-on operational discipline to lead HR service delivery, compliance practices, and cross-functional execution with efficiency, consistency, and accountability.

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands; talk; and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
