This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, talent management, compensation, training, and compliance. Job Description As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide comprehensive HR support across a broad range of human resources functions. You will partner with managers and employees to ensure consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and regulatory requirements while helping drive engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide guidance and interpretation on complex HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. Advise supervisors and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. Administer and coordinate HR programs, including onboarding, training and development, performance management, employee recognition, engagement initiatives, and salary administration. Assist with employee relations matters by conducting fact-finding activities, documenting concerns, and recommending appropriate resolutions. Support recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding efforts. Maintain employee records and HR information systems while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Participate in compensation processes, including market analysis, pay recommendations, and annual compensation review cycles. Coordinate employee training programs and professional development initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices. Prepare HR reports, analyze workforce data, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Support benefits administration and respond to employee questions regarding HR programs and policies. Contribute to organizational change initiatives and special HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR principles, policies, and best practices. Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and exercise sound judgment when resolving employee issues. Experience supporting HR functions such as employee relations, onboarding, performance management, compensation, recruitment, training, or compliance. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office applications. Comprehensive understanding of human resources functions and employment regulations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across multiple levels of an organization. Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent. Experience supporting compensation analysis, workforce planning, or organizational development initiatives. Experience participating in organizational change management or employee engagement programs. Prior experience within a healthcare, medical technology, manufacturing, or regulated industry environment.
