HR Specialist (BF)

Salary $55K

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented HR Specialist to support the Human Resources team across the full employee lifecycle. This role will be handling day-to-day HR operations, supporting recruiting and onboarding, and helping keep the people programs running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

Coordinate the full-cycle recruiting process: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and supporting offer letter preparation. Lead new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation scheduling, and first-week logistics. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and HR processes. Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, changes, and vendor coordination. Assist with payroll-related data entry and coordination with the payroll team. Help track and maintain compliance documentation (I-9s, required trainings, certifications, etc.). Support performance review cycles by managing timelines, templates, and reminders. Assist in planning employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events. Prepare HR reports and metrics (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, etc.) for leadership. Help update and maintain the employee handbook and internal HR documentation. Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and local employment laws.

What You Bring:

2-3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or similar HR support role. Working knowledge of HR processes, employment law basics, and best practices. Experience with ADP WFN a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (especially spreadsheets). A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.

Nice to

Have:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP) or progress toward one. Experience supporting a fast-growing or multi-state organization.
