Join Our HR Team! Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and making a difference? Hometown Health Centers is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team! This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional who wants to play an important role in supporting employees and managers while helping strengthen HR processes across a mission-driven healthcare organization. What You'll Do Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, and retirement plans. Assist employees with benefits, enrollment, qualifying life events, and coverage questions. Manage and track
FMLA, NY
Paid Family Leave, disability, workers' compensation, and other leaves of absence. Maintain employee information and employment changes in UKG. Support employees and managers with UKG and HR-related questions. Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, employee changes, and offboarding. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Support employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace investigations. Assist with HR compliance, audits, employee communications, and special projects. Work closely with employees, managers, payroll, benefits vendors, and HR leadership. 3-5 years of progressive HR experience. Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Strong experience with benefits administration and leave management. Knowledge of New York State and federal employment requirements. UKG experience strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Professional, approachable, and service-oriented. Healthcare, nonprofit, or union experience is a plus.
