Position Overview We are seeking a versatile, Bi-Lingual HR Generalist to be a key member of the HR team. This individual will assist with daily HR operations, helping to promote a positive workplace culture, and provide overall support to the Head of HR. In this role, you will coordinate the recruitment process for all hourly, non-exempt roles, along with select exempt level roles. Additionally, the HR Generalist will assist in benefits and leave administration. Finally, they will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and adhere to strict confidentiality.

Snapshot of key responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews. Lead all new hire orientations for our hourly associates, including preparing and processing documentation.

Benefits and Leave Administration:

Support health and welfare benefits enrollment, answer inquiries, and track and process leaves of absence (such as

FMLA, NY

Disability and NY Paid Family Leave).

Employee Relations:

With guidance from the Head of HR, manage employee relations by gaining trust of the workforce, advising them, and resolving conflicts

Compliance and Records:

Maintain accurate, confidential records and monitor adherence to local, state, and federal labor laws.

Special Projects:

Support Head of HR in special projects as needed by assisting with HR audits, updating policies and procedures, compensation benchmarking, system implementations, or other strategic workforce initiatives. Qualifications and Skills

• Must be bi-lingual.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven work experience in a generalist or coordinator role.
• Strong understanding of immigration laws and E-Verify rules and regulations, general employment laws, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, active listening, problem-solving, and strict attention to detail and to data confidentiality.

Pay :

The pay range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. Abe's Vegan Muffins takes into consideration a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
